CoCo Loupe (Visiting Guest Lecturer) is a native of Baton Rouge, LA and holds a BFA in Dance from The University of Southern Mississippi (1994) in Hattiesburg, MS and an MFA in Choreography from The Ohio State University (2006) in Columbus, OH. In the past 20 years she has attended three ADFs, co-founded three indie dance groups, and taught, studied, performed, choreographed and/or presented her work in Louisiana, Texas, Mississippi, New York, Oregon, Ohio, Washington, D.C., Maine and Scotland. In 2006-07 CoCo served as Assistant Professor of Dance at The University of Oregon in The School of Music and Dance. Most recently, she has traveled to Findhorn, Scotland to participate in the Deborah Hay Solo Performance Commissioning Project. While there, she learned a new solo by Ms. Hay entitled The Runner. CoCo is so happy to be back in Columbus, OH and at The Ohio State University. When not teaching and making dances, she works as a webdesigner.
